Analisis Kajian Stilistika Dan Makna Pada Puisi “MATA HITAM” Karya W.S Rendra

Abstract

Literary works serve as an artistic medium for portraying beauty through language that is captivating, diverse, and rich with imagination. Poetry, as a form of literary expression, creatively and rhythmically conveys messages, experiences, or emotions. This research endeavors to uncover the meaning behind W.S. Rendra's poem "Mata Hitam" utilizing a stylistic approach. Qualitative methods are employed alongside an analysis of the poem's content. The primary data source for this study is the poem "Mata Hitam" by W.S. Rendra. The objective is to discern the stylistic elements and meaning encapsulated within the poem, exploring aspects such as sentence structure, figurative language, diction, patterns, rhyme, and imagery. W.S. Rendra's poetry often delves into the intricacies of human emotions and reality, including themes of love. His exploration of love encompasses various dimensions of human experience, avoiding a singular pattern and eschewing simplistic, happy endings.
