Indonesian is the identity and characteristic of the Indonesian nation. The level of insight and behavior of the millennial generation in using Indonesian is a reflection of the future of the nation's symbols. This observation is intended to illustrate. (1) The millennial generation's use of Indonesian on social media Instagram and Twitter, (2) the millennial generation's level of understanding of the use of Instagram social media, and (3) the millennial generation's attitude towards using Indonesian. (4) the behavior of the millennial generation on social media in using Indonesian depicts positive behavior. The researchers chose this theme because it is now felt that the role of Indonesian is slowly being replaced by foreign languages and because behavior is believed to appear contemporary if seen using a foreign language when communicating on social media. The significance of this observation lies in its implications for readers. By examining the issues outlined, it becomes evident that the solution lies in emphasizing the importance of utilizing Indonesian language effectively and efficiently. The study employs a qualitative research approach, characterized by an investigative methodology where researchers gather data through direct engagement with individuals at the research site. The findings of this study indicate a lack of effective and efficient usage of the Indonesian language.
